Entertainer Kevin Pollak to Perform at 2010 Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge
ATLANTA (February 23, 2010) – Renowned comedian and actor Kevin Pollak will perform for an exclusive group of NCAA head coaches, celebrities and business partners at the annual Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament April 25-27.
Pollak will headline the first evening’s entertainment following the Sunday night Draw Party at the three-day golf event hosted by the Chick-fil-A Bowl at the Reynolds Plantation resort outside Atlanta.
Pollak is the latest mainstream celebrity to liven the crowd at the Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge. Last year, fellow comedian and television personality Jeff Foxworthy earned rave reviews for his comedy set. Other notable previous performers include musical acts Collective Soul, Edwin McCain and Darius Rucker.
After breaking into the entertainment landscape as a stand-up comedian, Pollak successfully transitioned to movies and has appeared in both dramatic and comedic roles. During the past two decades, Pollak has appeared in more than 50 film and television projects while continuing to master his comedy routine. He recently released his first CD, “A Little Off the Top”, detailing his experiences in the entertainment world.
The Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge is the nation’s premier head coach and celebrity golf gathering and takes place April 25-27 on the picturesque courses at Reynolds Plantation, located on Lake Oconee outside Atlanta. A significant contributor to the Chick-fil-A Bowl’s yearly charitable and scholarship donation efforts, the Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge’s main event features teams composed of a university head coach and a celebrity or former athlete from the same school competing in a scramble format against other university teams from around the country. In 2009, the tournament raised more than $500,000 in charity and scholarship.
